one of the pieces i like... the tempusvivendi dragon... with retrograde jumping hours and retrograde minutes... the crown has an activation button to make the hands jump to the time, and on pressing it again, they go back to their original position at the zeroes as shown...

an innovative timepiece with the movement parts hidden in the case... the parts that are visible are the time, the double axis tourbillon with constant force and the oscillating weight which very cleverly has the date on the front of it...
and the piece number for this limited edition on the back...
Thomas came by Singapore for a couple of days before the Tokyo Watch Fair to meet up with collectors and enthusiasts here. One of the watches that he brought with him is his latest creation, the Mysterious Automatic Double Axis Tourbillon... i would just like to mention that all watch lovers & folks who appreciate fine watchmaking should drop by the Tokyo International Watch Fair from 27-30 Jan 2010 (click this link for more info). Four AHCI members are presenting their pieces there this time, Thomas Prescher, Svend Andersen, Frank Jutzi and Pita and you should definitely check what they have to display and to meet with them.

hi..great website u have here..do u know if the tempusvivendi dragon is a chinese or japanese dragon? i can't help but notice that the back legs have 5 claws but the front legs have only 4. Is there a reason for this?
off-topic - there are a few watch auctions in sg nowadays. will u consider getting a watch thru an auction?

apologies but i know not much about chinese or japanese dragons or significance on the number of claws as dragons aren't my speciality. more info about the watch at www.prescher.ch and they may have more info on that...
for auctions, credibility of the auction house matters as for most, the authenticity and provenance of the piece is only verified by the auction house. so if they say a fake vintage rolex is real and u buy it and its a chinese replica than i believe the buyer is screwed. for established watch auction houses and for some not so commonly replicated models, these issues may not be be prevalent/relevant.
