Patek Philippe Exhibition in Singapore (Last Day 31 May)

Just doing a quickie post first as there are a number of pictures to process, if you haven't made it down theres a couple of hours left... DOH! Its great that the exhibition tours as it brings a lil bit of whats in Geneva to us in Asia. I must admit that i will definitely be getting a Patek someday but will have to save up for it :)

star caliber was on display. ultra complicated pocketwatch...

hi raphmeister, i am a big fan of your site. i orefer the nautilus moon in gold/brown. what do you think about that ? the last watches i bought were RLX daytona S/S white and Glashütte Senator Chronograph Redgold... The next should be a ROO (redgold, black rubber, black dial)... grettings from germany, M.P.

Hi M.P.
thanks for your comment and glad you enjoy the site :) the nautilus in rose gold and brown is a great looking watch in my books. the Rolex Daytona in S/S is a classic that will never go out of style. and the Rosegold Rubberclad is a fave of mine so 3 excellent watches right there.
for the Glashütte Senator Chronograph, is yours the 2 sub-dials or 3 sub-dial version? for me, for a classy dress chrono, 2 subdials work better so the former would appeal to me more. my personal faves for dress chrono would be the Lange Dato in RG or Plat or the Patek 5070 in WG but of course they cost a fair bit more than the Glashütte. enjoy your great watches in the best of health.
cheers, raph

Great shots Raph. I wish I would have had the time to have seen the exhibition. Like your choice of first Patek.

hi raphmeister :-) no, it is the version with 3 subdials. I made a photo here - http://bit.ly/997Pvc - Glashütte Original is not so well known outside europe I guess. It is like the "little brother" of Lange. I will visit the factory end of summer. A real great Glashütte and of course on my wishlist is the Glashütte Impact Chrono like you can see here - http://bit.ly/91fDrN - greetings from berlin... M.P.

Thanks Stefano, as i doubt i'll make it down to Geneva to the real museum anytime soon, i thought it best to make time for this and am glad i did :) will share more pics in time...

M.P. thanks for sharing your pics of your GOs and they are nice, one dress and one sport.

GOs are known to me of course and i do remember noting the enamel dialled ones that came out in past years which were interesting and the chronometer that came out recently I think. I may be wrong but in my perception of standings of the German watch brands, I rate Lange above GO on several fronts (finishing, aesthetic, history and continuity with Walter Lange, revival tale with Gunter Blumlein at LMH which was then purchased by Richemont etc) and so would rather put money towards the Lange vs Swatch's GO if i were in the market for a German timepiece. but to each their own and those are fine timepieces in your collection indeed :) enjoy them and your incoming ones.

cheers, raph
