get your FREAK on!!!

"what the FREAK!"
Photobucket

... was the exclamation and i was ready for battle... heckles up, until the following words came forth from my would be protaganist "... is, is a work of contemporary horological art." kidding on this of course... just noting how speaking about a watch called the freak could put the person commenting about it in mortal danger if they don't complete their sentences quick enough ;) I am in full agreement with what was said though...

i'm a super-freak... super-freak
Photobucket

the freak is a horological marvel and has to be seen to be truly appreciated i feel. prior to my encounter with it though, I had heard a lot of good things about it and how many were in awe of its wholly new approach to time keeping... but there was the bad too... the fact that some owners of the first freak found that it doesn't keep good time which I believe is supposed to have been addressed in the later freaks... but all in all... horological art and something one can lose oneself in for sure.

what time is it... uh does it matter... its like a ballet...

What is a good entry-level AP ROO? And what will the prices be like?

scuba, themes range including the safari and rubberclads would be what u are looking at.

all of these would be somewhere between S$20-30k if its in steel depending on the model u have set your eye on.

Thanks alot for the reply :)

How much discount should i expect? Which shop/boutique would have a good range of ROO?

By the way, yours is nice too!

thanks ag... i love my ROO of course.

if you're buying from ADs then i suggest you check around for the one that has the ROO you are looking for then ask what kind of discounts to expect. alternatively check the watch forums sales sites for BNIB or LNIB pieces if you are ok with that.

i can't advise where to go as i don't park myself in AD shops all around Singapore yuh :) discounts range from shop to shop and piece to piece, so know wat u want to get and than check whats the best discount u can get at multiple locations.

i think i will probably start off with the Black themes. I like the Volcano but i think the price is rather high. How much did you pay for yours?

Which forum do you recommend? I've seen a few but transferring tens of thousands doesn't seems safe for me.

Which store do you know that carries the most number of ROO? Should i expect at least 20% or even 30% discount?

Perhaps the rubber-clad ROO will be good but what is the retail price? And is it easily available?
